The state of Arkansas was sued for violating the U.S. Constitution’s Commerce and Supremacy clauses, in which it was found to have done so. Arkansas wanted to ban many of the hemp products legal under the 2016 Hemp Farm Bill, to do this senate bill 358 was passed. It was deemed unconstitutional because the bill didn’t have a way for the transport of the products through the state, which the Federal Government has jurisdiction over.
